The Captain's Story

 

 

For as long as I can remember (in my adult life anyway), people I know have said that I have a great voice.  Some people I didn't know - I've had people come up to me after meetings and tell me that.  My wife and I met online and she later told me the main reason she wanted to meet me in person was because of my voice. In fact before our first date she would play a voicemail I left her to her friends!  When I was just out of college a local police recruiter (forgot how I came across him) wanted me to interview for their open dispatcher position.  Said my voice would be "calming" to officers in the field.

So here I am, finally taking people's advice and taking the plunge into voice acting.  If you are looking for a voice actor with years of experience and 50 demos, you might be tempted to just move on.  But before you do that, take a listen to a couple of the samples on this site.  And tell me what you think.

I've submitted for many auditions, built a small studio in my basement, and i went out and got middle of the road audio equipment.  The technical director for one of the recording studios analyzed one of my demos and says my sound floor is good.
